The Dorm Chapter 1

“So you will be in dorm 228 in Parks building,” said Aqua Pearman. “And before you ask no it is not a park.” Aqua was a pretty girl much prettier than me. She was about 5’6 with blue eyes, brown hair and curves in all the right places. She was one of the tour guides for the college students, but she looks too young to be in college let alone working for one. She looks like she is about 17.  “Hello, are you okay?”

“Yeah, I was just lost in thought,” I said as I picked up my phone. “Which way is my dorm?” She told it was right the corner and next to the cafeteria. I grabbed my bags just have them snatched out of my hands. “Hey! You can give me my stuff or you can get a black eye.”

“Calm down feisty,” he said staring at me with piercing light blue eyes framed by the gorgeous blonde hair and a tan complexion. “You’re in the parks building 228, right?”

“If I was I wouldn’t tell you. I don’t need a stalker,” I said staring at his sweatshirt. It had the school’s logo on it.

“Well, if that’s you dorm room then I’m your roommate.”

“Fine that my room but don’t girls and boys have separate rooms?”

“It was the only empty room on campus. Now can we get going, it’s hot,” he said and started walking towards a hot dog cart.  There were a million carts out, I wondered if they were out every day. “Want a hot dog?”

“No thanks, I don’t have any money.”

“Oh really,” he said smiling. Before I could protest, he sat my stuff down and got us some chilli cheese hot dogs. “Here, I don’t mind paying for a hot dog.”

“Thanks umm…” I said trying to remember if told me his name.

“Ryder, it’s Ryder,” he said as we walked into the building and got in the elevator but as soon as the door closed I don’t know what came over me.
